Cyn, I hope Caroline gets to feeling better soon. My big girl Brewenna has the same problem as Caroline with the easily irritated sinuses. I was sure I was going to lose her this last winter when they couldn't really get out to free range on account of the snow. All that dust in the coop really got to her. Brew is five and a half now. On hot dusty days, she has trouble too. I just try to keep her quiet [not hard to do at all, considering her age and weight] and out of Goobey's way. So long as she doesn't get all riled up, she does fine. Maybe Caroline just needs a week of spa treatment in the house? It couldn't hurt. I'll be keeping her in my prayers.

Laura, those are a pair of adorable pullet eggs. I so love it when they come in to lay! Their whole outlook on life changes once they start laying!

Some eggs I got yesterday..... the itsy bitsy white one at the top came from Kola, my Icelandic. I have no idea why she laid a marble sized egg. The white one at the bottom is from another Icelandic. I think the three at the top are Delaware pullet eggs. The small dark eggs, of course, are from some new Marans layers. All my Easter Eggers are laying now.

I think the bottom right one (which is more blue than green) came from the girl in the picture. Ya know, to this day I do not know HOW I got this blue girl. In the pen she came from were my 2 black Ameraucana girls and the 2 roosters were a Lavender Ameraucana and a black Ameraucana. HOW did I get a blue girl? She hatched from a blue egg (or could it have been from Miss Olive's egg??? Naw, surely not, or she would be laying Olive eggs....)

Does she look like a pure Ameraucana?

Kathy those eggs! Such colors! I am glad to se your Dels lay like mine - mostly speckled is what i get. YOu know people get so crazt abaout the EE- Amer. thing. As far asi can concern ---approved color its an Amer.
