Back to the Fair. I'm amazed at how dirty some of the birds are. I worry about being tested and not having super clean birds but some of these birds are pretty dishevelsed.

Not to be totally negative. The buffs orps were nice and so were the Orloffs. If it weren't for the laying record of the Orloffs I might have some. The Aussies were nice too. Much nicer than I got from the hatchery. Of course this is only the appearance of the birds so you can't really count the laying abililty of the birds.

I did like the size of some of the birds too. Nice and big.

Would be interesting to see Dels at a show. Was told by a good breeder once that he saw Delawares at a show he took his birds to (not Dels) and mine were much nicer. I think it's unusual to see any Dels at a show, really.


I think Rita is broody. She is my BLRW x BBS Ameraucana who looks like neither. Why do I get all the unproven broodies around here?

This is my dog, Worthless. His name used to be Tyson, but I changed it to Worthless. The kids named him Tyson, because he looked like a boxer dog when he was born.
