The city notified Mahonri that he had to get rid of all his roosters by tomorrow. Some neighbor who had formerly given permission, apparently, filed a complaint. So within just a few days, he had to liquidate about 40 birds over this weekend.

Hi all...sorry I missed your birthday Knox...Happy Birthday.

It has been a long weekend, expensive weekend and PITA....cows cows and more cows. A cow tried to plow over DH in the barn Saturday night and he hit it in the face with a shovel. Last night it was back and it rammed me into Jo's gate and Jo attacked it...took a huge nasty bite out of the cow's ear and face. Scarey place to be...against a gate with a cow pressing in and a horse shoving the gate attacking the cow. And on my gosh Jo has some scream on her...she sounded like a demon possessed. So I went to get the rifle and it was gone...so at midnight last night I was waking the cow owner up and yelling at him...yes yelling. I told him he had until mid-week to have the cows gone or secured or I would shoot on sight any one of them. It has been hell today and the cow owner is ticked about the bites to his cow and threatening to sue and I begged him to do it. I showed him about 40 pics on my cellphone of his cows in my barn tearing stuff up, ripping hay apart and making a mess. So, the first load of cows left via trailer this afternoon.

So I am cooking dinner and then going to bed, maybe, possibly I hope.

I always thought cows were so docile. Then my neighbor failed to secure their own fence.....they get out regularly here also and I have been warned by another neighbor that there are a couple mean ones. Watched him chase one home in his big diesel dually one day, that there was entertainment. At least the massive bull was removed............

We downsized today, 7 young roosters gone to camp.
Bad news, when I locked up the gang tonight, Zeb, my BR cockeral was not walking.

They were not allowed out of the run today since we were processing the extra roos so I have no idea what happened. I picked him up and felt his legs but could not feel anything wrong
