The plague! I have the plague!

I am going to one of those cvs clinics here in a bit, after my friend picks up some bunnies. Today my throat hurts and so does my ears! What the frig. The plague it is.

Hi all

Busy day here. Cleaning house, and packing. Heading to Tennesse for the week. Another week of training. I'm just happy to get away from the store for a minute, lol. Chicken/house sitter confirmed and mom aka g-maw will be taking care of Flash. Hope all is well.

I have been to the plague clinic and am back now. Took forever. Now I have antibiotics....also got some good drugs, cough drops and even some of that spray stuff for your throat. Just took some drugs and now I'm going to take a nap.

Since this is the SDWD thread, here is the son of Isaac and Georgie, who is 4 weeks old tomorrow. He's an independent little cuss, like they all are.

DH took me for a ride to Falmouth, KY this afternoon to meet the guy who will be making the duckie house 4 x 6 with lowered nest boxes and such for duckies. DH almost ordered me a 6 x 8 for my bantams.

. Each will have a light and a plug for a heat lamp or whatever. He is having the 6 x 8 divided into three pens with 2 nests each and the 4 x 6 in half with 1 huge nest on each side. Roosts in each chicken section and all. He gave the guy half down to build them both and deliver them I was shocked. The two of them delivered from an hour+ away was $1500.00 and DH did not bat an eyelash...I did. Hahahahaha

We got home and there be another mouse in the trap so I had Bear remove it and reset it as the Peanut butter was gone which tells me another mouse came to eat it. Sure enough less than 5 mins after it was reset. "SNAP". Muahahahahaha dead mousie. Trap is reset. I will get them my pretties all of them.. As long as someone is here to empty the trap. Hahahahaha

There were a bunch of mice running around out back tonight. Gross. Probably saw a half dozen just when i was feeding the bunnies. Grooooooooossssss....

Hey Knox, not to rain on your parade, but those two pics don't count in my book either. You said you'd plant a kiss right on the lips of your goat! I see NO lip contact in either of them pics. So, try again sweetie. We're all still waiting!

Been a long day. Poor 'Milio. If you were to ask him, he'd tell you that everyone in the flock hates him. Pooooooor widdle baby boy!

Everyone was picking, poking, and pecking at him and running him off at bedtime tonight. So, of course, he had to spend the better part of a half hour on mama's lap while the others sorted themselves out and settled in for the night. Poooor widdle guy. I really do feel for him. He's such a wimp, for all he probably weighs in at around 8-9 pounds. Yup, he's gonna be a BIG boy, if he ever grows a pair and becomes a MAN!

If I could scrape together about 3 hours of uninterrupted work, I could probably finish the duplex coop and get 'Milio and Goobey both out from under Chief's feet. Then everyone would pretty much be content I should think. Yeah. Right. I may as well wish for a 70 degree day tomorrow!

I'd probably have a better chance of that happening than getting time to finish the duplex!

Well, like I said...it was a long day. I'm heading for the barn kids. Hope everyone has a nice quiet evening. Sleep well and pleasant dreams to all!
