Well, Amy, that's the fun thing about Delaweggers! There can be NO standard! (Like Icelandics). They will all be different and unique, due to the background of the Easter Eggers. The only standard is that they are all beautiful and they lay pretty green eggs!

Hi from Fort Knox. Bah Humbug. Court appearance at 8 am then travel back home. Hubby and I are just relaxing watching TV and having a cup of coffee. I have already done the check back home and everyone is okay the Diva Do was pacified this morning early....about 3am I went to tell her the plans and got my night time loves in so she should behave herself although she does like to try to take off a jacket here and there when given the chance....watch yourself Cheyenne and hang on to your jacket.

Chy expect us around lunchtime ish. 11 am - 2 pm depending on the weather. Let Lancelot and the heathens out after it hits 40 degrees, Diva Do can go out as normal, check everyone's water and feed and do not forget to scoop Atlas and Brother's side of crate for me and scoop babies. I will finish up when I get there....Love you.

Night night all....

Glad to hear Meg is doing better Cyn, will call you when I get a clear cell signal on the way home.

Keeping everything crossed for a favorable outcome at the hearing LH.

Kathy: Oh. OK, I was thinking they had to look like a Del and lay an olive egg. But if they can look like anything, then that makes it a whole heck of a lot easier!!

I dunno....maybe that should be what we should be striving for? A bird that lays an olive egg and looks pretty darn close to a Del.

Seems to me that the hardest part would be in getting them to breed true.

I don't even begin to have the grasp of genetics that would be at play here like you do Kathy. I guess I could just shoot from the hip and go with by guess and by golly.

Hey! If Nella can play Dr. Frankenstein, why can't I?

Well, so far, as usual, the forecasters have made a mountain out of a mole hill! Again!
roll.png
We've been under a winter storm warning since 2pm with 4-6 inches of snow and howling winds forecasted. What have we gotten? A dusting of snow that is now receiving a nice slippery coating of ice and a slight breeze. Way to go Bozo's!!

Everyone and his kid brother probably hit the stores first thing this morning for NOTHING!

These twits couldn't forecast their way out of a paper bag with a flashlight and a map!

Oh, and Kathy: I had absolutely, positively NOTHING whatsoever to do with your snow storm today! So....

I'm with ya on that! Looks like a Del and lays a green egg! YES, that would be great! If you kept culling and breeding, surely you could get them to breed true down the line in a few generations, I would think. Wouldn't that be cool?!

Ummm, I do believe it was you or someone in your state! Jake Levi (Cusick, WA) said:
"Kathy thats just a little bit of stray weather that slipped on down there, but you can keep it"
I am convinced that you Washingtonians are all in cahoots!

'Twas NOT I! I swear to you! Had to have been Jake. But what can one expect from people living in Cusick?

They're all a little strange in that neck of the woods!

Hey girl! Can you give me a call tonight? Like, RIGHT NOW?!?!?

I've got some fabric questions I need answered ASAP and you would be the perfect person to answer them! Or could I call you?

So, an SOP for the Rockshires - yes! And NOT one for Delaweggers, YES!. Looks like a Del and lays a green egg. So can you only breed Del x EE? Or are any of yours out there Del x Americauna or OE?

Cyn, I know what you mean, after slipping around on muddy slopes last night, trying to collect eggs after work and make sure everyone was up for the night, I really, really really missed FLAT land. I am not sure there is more than two square inches of it here, though.
