I wonder if it would make a difference if someone spoke to a vet face to face. It's easier for some receptionist to blow someone off on the phone.

That's great Kathy! Maybe there's hope that mine will resume soon as well. I have one pathetic little email notification for SDWD sitting in my inbox [nearly a week old now] that I don't dare delete, as it affords me a quick and easy access to this thread!

I am still getting email notices! YAY ! ! ! This is what I did....
I logged off on every computer I was ever on BYC with (work, laptop, desktop), and then I logged back in. Some are having success with this, for others it was temporary.

I cleaned out 5 pens and the layers coop today, and put up 2 new nests. I reorganized (moved) 3 pens of birds in to 4 pens. My Lavender Ameraucana pullet was screeching her head off. Within 20 minutes of having the new nest up, she laid her egg in it. THEN, I took her egg and gave it to Ms Broody #2. Doesn't she look thrilled? See the egg there? (click the picture to make it bigger)



What do ya think about these nests? I bought 2 to test them out. $19. each at the local farm store.
