Okay, eggs are in, all 50 of them. Yeah, FIFTY. I'm crazy, but I only want a few BR pullets and D'Anvers pullets. The rest are leaving. Here is the way I put them in, with the D'Anvers in the turner, but most of Shadow's and all of Maretta's stacked. Will probably take until late tonight for the temp to come back up. As round and little as Shadow's are, it probably doesn't matter if they're on end or on their sides.

I hope they all hatch for you. I never put anything around my bantams, just stuck them in there. No problem hatching except when they hatch a day early.

As for BR's? I'd just be glad if these girls would lay. They're all on layer now but Heavens to Betsy, they should be laying. Whoever is laying in the coop keeps laying it on the ground or floor or whereever she pleases.

Hey Rancher.....who goes it with those "Georgia" eggs anyway?? I put 15 in the hatcher yesterday. 1 hatched today (a day earlier) and I have pips in about 1/2 of them

My BRs from Cyn are due next Monday and I have 8 that are looking REALLY good! After those hatch I think I'm done for the year. Will have hatched approx 100 CRs and a few BRs.....that should keep me busy

BTW - y'all, I'm getting no notifications to updates to subscribed posts? Any ideas?

So far so good Scott. Hatch day is the 24th. Candled four so far and they look ok as far as I can tell. I put them in different areas of the bator to get a better shot. I have the Gen. 1588 and things seem ok with it. I have noticed that eggs in certain sections tend to hatch earlier or later depending on where they are placed. I keep the room temp at about 70-80 or in between. Temp runs a little high but it seems to work out. 99.5 - 100.2 Last time it took four days for things to finish. The first hatched a day early. I had to snatch that one out before things were done. Time will tell.

I fixed it for you, Robin. Oh, I added two D'Anver eggs to the bator since today is technically Day One. So, Penny and Aimee have one more each. If Carly lays this morning, I'll add hers, too. Might even add a BR egg if they give me one before noon to 1 p.m. So, total is now 52 eggs.


Hmm, I think maybe 35 will hatch.
