Happy St. Patricks Day everyone

Miranda is really dark today, but she sure did eat her scrambled eggs. I would be surprised if she lives through tomorrow.

Aimee and Penny have hatched three babies each. They each have one unpipped egg and today is Day 21.

Cyn, it sure would be nice to see that sweet girl make a comeback. I'm hoping for the best, but if it's not to be, well, then it's not to be. At least she sounds like she's comfortable. I know you're doing everything you can for her. Hang in there dear lady. And know that I'm thinking about you and yours.

Question: Is winter ever going to leave the Inland NW?!?

The chickens and I have had just about enough of this nonsense! Do you know it even SNOWED yesterday?!? Big fat soggy flakes! It was 36F outside! Gawds! This weather is so dang screwy! And no end in sight! The forecast for the next 12 days is like this! How in God's sweet green earth am I ever going to be able to clean the coop in this junk?!?!? Gaaaaaah!! Calgon! Take me away!!!

Oh, and a Happy St. Patrick's Day to y'all as well.

Run over here and see this cuteness parade, guys! Aimee had already stolen two of Penny's three chicks (the last egg Penny had was expired). Penny got her back, though, by stealing the last pipped egg Aimee had by just going to her nest and sitting her that egg, so now they've switched. The chicks have no clue whose mother is whose and neither do the broodies, nor do they seem to care.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!! I stood beside his grave in Ireland and it was such a beautiful site to behold!! Hope you're having tons of craic today!!

My husband, children and I stood, at the Rock of Cashel, on the spot where Patric accidentally pierced the king's foot with his Bishop's staff. Whoops. Not the best way to win converts, but seems it worked any way! Slainte!

mm

Cyn, my last 3 silkies shared 8 eggs. Stealing from eachother. The chicks accepted that they had 3 moms. Who could ask for more?

I had to put a chick down this morning. I had vaccinated them all, I must have hit something important , and the chick couldn't walk after that. It didn't improve. I am so bummed.
