Sebastopol Geese Photo Thief

Why do they not take it off?? Looks like they have one of Foleys pictures, too! (I think)

I personally find enjoyment in taking pictures of my birds! Gives me and them something to do and its great for bonding!

This is what I ended up with from them before I knew ............

Cybil - they told me they thought it would straighten out as she grew...it didn't. I put tubes in her nostrils so she could clear them until her beak hardened. They were my first geese. I still have her, she just needs deep feed bowls. They did give me a replacement that has not had any problems.

This Black Swan, Sheldon, they gave me because it had a bad leg ( they said it got caught in something) and they were going to have to shoot it,.... I took it, had my vet operate on it's leg. He did well with Sabastion but then I lost both to a bad winter storm. They did make me feel bad about it.....

Then when I got Black swan cygnets from them they ended up with leg problems also.

The late Sabastion in his chair I made for him.

Now they would have taken any of them back and replaced them.... But after raising them so long before finding out it would not fix itself.... I wasjust too attached, and did not want to risk the heartache all over again.

Hi Vicky

Just caught up with this thread and checked out the website!!! Not only your photo but selling as 'English Sebastopols'

Clear mis-representation and obviously someone who's trying to pass off their own stock as high quality. It's so irritating when people take without asking or giving credit where its really due.

As you know we had similar with the Dewlaps when we found a trio advertised that were our own birds and our photos.

Hope to see this rectified if the advertiser has any conscience

Thanks Pete.
I called them again tonight and left a message.
I'm wondering WHY don't they just remove my photo after I have requested them to do so 5 times now???

A Sebastopol from England or perhaps was it was a Sebastopol that honks with an English accent... I never can keep that stuff straight.

I was just at a Photoshop workshop and the trainer is a professional photographer. He told us that part of the revenue he earns is from small claims court over issues like these. He includes metadata on all photographs he publishes online so he only has to google his tags and BINGO, there they are. He told us he didn't need an attorney or any special knowledge of the legal system. He just had to go to his local courthouse.

I'm not sure you want to go that route, but it might be a strong enough threat to motivate them to DO something about this.

Good luck.

[[[[.......what's an "English Sebastopol" anyway?......]]]]]

I think it is a goose that expects to have her own butler and scullery maid and live in an enormous drafty stone house.
