Was going through some older photos and found this one, I really like this photo (please excuse the african goose in the photo)

These are the babies I brought home this week. They are firmly imprinted on people and get mad when I'm even remotely out of their sight.



I suppose they will grow into their feet eventually.

My babies are just starting to get their feathers... Will the first set be curly or does that happen with the second molt??

If they are going to be curly it will show as the feathers grow in, also the same of they will be smooth. Remember smooth refers to the chest feathers not all over. If they feather smooth with first feathers they won't suddenly become curly. The curl becomes more pronounced with time.

I put a crippled rooster in with the kids to help keep them safe from hawks. He can at least sound the alarm to give them time to run for cover.
