We live on 10 acreas that is mostly open country and without lots of trees... I had my hubby build a pond just for my Sebs. They had a kiddypool for a while then graduated to a big stock tank after that... Well It took my hubby 2 months to build the pond last summer and they will not use it??? I really don't know why? They are happy walking all around the house and back and forth to the barn but will not walk the same distance over to the pond... I even took all their water sources up and they would rather find a nasty small puddle of muddy water than go drink out of the pond. I then started to heard them to the pond everyday but they would just maybe take a drink and run off, never actually getting in it... I got mad and tossed them in but they would just run out.... So I gave up... Maybe this spring they will eventually walk over to it on their own??? I guess you can lead a flock to water but can't make them swim after all.....
