Hello,

My 6 Month old Sebright cant walk. She was fine yesterday but today she just curls up and when trys to walk falls over to the side.

Could it be the cold? Sickness? She is the only one in the flock like this.

Any help appreciated!

She sits kind of sideways, still eating and drinking

When was the last time you brought a new to you bird home? (How long ago)

How long have you had her?
What exactly do you feed?

No new birds in her flock, we feed Grower feed (changed from Medicated Chick Feed a few weeks ago) and they get lots of grass aswell. We have had her since 5 days old

She has never laid us an egg yet, could she possibly be egg bound without having ever laid?

Shes our only Sebright hen, I hope she is okay

Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease? Sebrights are one of the breeds, such as silkies, who seem more prone to Mareks. I really hope that she has something else going on and not Mareks, but just want to mention it. Can you insert a clean finger into her vent to check for a stuck egg? Offer her some electrolytes/vitamins and water, and make sure that she can reach water and food. She needs to probably be inside a dog crate with food and water for her protection, but leave it in her coop if possible. A chicken sling chair is sometimes helpful to get them upright, keep cleaner, and help to eat, while observing her to find out what is wrong. Here is a good link with pictures and videos of slings:

Thank you, I dont believe she was vaccinated.

I do have her inside now, and we have put Hydro Hen in her water and I have given her some mushed cat food cause I was told it had added vitamins.

I hope she is okay and maybe it was just from the shock of the cold!

I appreciate the advice! :)

I hope she will make a great recovery. Can you maybe post a picture of her poop? It might help, you never know.
