Still looks a little pullet-y with that comb, watch how read it gets and see if it tries to mate the others
10 weeks old. Roo or Hen?
He grew faster, is taller, and acts much more like a roo than my other bantam. Starting to second guess.

Thanks!
It is a bantam and the Phoenix bantam I have that is a hen, has a much smaller comb so I'm trying to take that into consideration as well. :)

Don't forget that they are different breeds and the roosters don't look to different from the hens in the sebright breed.

It does kinda look that way. Not supposed to but that is NOT the only thing that points out bad quality if looking at it from showing/breeding perspective

Single comb, he (she) is from a feed store. I picked him up on a whim because he stood out.

Anyone want to take a guess at gender on this chick? I asked in the guess my gender forum, but I am hoping to get the opinions of other sebright owners. I have no clue as to quality, and it honestly doesn't matter much to me. My girls show in 4H but have two birds they show with right now, so this baby is just a pet. It could very well be a mix as well. I thought it was hard to sex sebright chicks at such a young age, but the answers I got were all pointed at one gender. Chick is 6 weeks in these pics, now 7 weeks and looks pretty much the same.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. And any constructive criticism on type would be appreciated as well. I'm not that familiar with the breed and couldn't pick out a show quality bird from a hatchery stock bird.

Most definately a boy, look at the size and pinkness of that comb, there is no mistaking him. ;)
