I am working with a Farmer in Winters CA and he keeps bringing me odd things to hatch. On Thursday I set 25 or so Guinea eggs and two Turkey eggs. Since they were set close to the set date for this hatch a long I figured I would join. When the keets and turkeys hatch, they go straight to his place.

Did I tell you that he disturbed a Duck nest so I have unknown hatch date Mallard eggs incubating too...I sure hope he does not come across Emu eggs.....

Notafarm here is a very quick synopsis of what has happened so far
3 weeks ago - start of thread
3 weeks of chatter - some happy, some sad, some silly
3 weeks of searching for eggs or prowling our turkey laying spots (I think I gave Edith and Lil' a complex

)
Yesterday - ready... SET!
Today - back to banter and chatter waiting for the first time to candle (SCG you don't count, we all know you obsessively candle

)

ETA - it is 27 days to hatching BTW

Ron, Dear! We would love for you to do summaries for us, but you have to understand, this hatchathon is different. We are all just here to have fun. We don't take ourselves or each other seriously. Oh, sure, you may hear that you must have a straitjacket, or that poetry is mandatory, but the truth is, all you HAVE to do is just what you want! We set when we want, what we want, and as many as we want. We laugh and joke and rant and rave. We pick at each other and take it in stride. We are glad you're here, and you are welcome to do summaries -- or not. Just try to ignore us if we rib you, it means you're liked....

The other box of turkey eggs that I was expecting Saturday came this morning. I will put them in this evening. I set the others around 8:30 p.m. last night so these will only be a little behind. flocksalot sent 14 beautiful Midget White eggs......that makes my total 32....

....32 turkeys! ........and how many tutors.........

OKAY, I posted "20 days until hatching" and not a single person pointed out that it is 27 days until hatching......I LOVE YOU GUYS......overlooking mistakes.......accepting us for the imperfect people we are..........
