I agree with Mr. O Shay, definitely red sex links. I also purchased some birds at tractor supply store sold as red pullets and they most certainly are RSL's. Pretty birds, very friendly and super layers of large brown eggs. Good luck with them.

How often will red sex links lay when they first start laying?

Mine would average one every other day...sometimes 2 days in a row. Give them 2 weeks or so to get the egg machine in gear and the eggs will start to appear almost every day and keep getting bigger and bigger.

I now have two hens laying. Got a big egg yesterday and a small egg today. Z
