I have had a warning pop up lately that BYC has a security certificate issue. Are you guys aware of this or is it just my crazy tablet? Thanks.

Thanks all for the responses. It only seems to be happening on my tablet, and I have some issues with my tablet running some things on BYC properly anyway so that is why I thought it might just be me. We have McAfee so I hope that is scrubbing what it is supposed to. I am not very techy but I will take a look at your links Judy and see what I find.I've never seen this, and I see no one else has reported it. You can try the fixes in our troubleshoting article which is linked in my signature line. You could also download a free anti-malware program and run it, like Malwarebytes. I recently did this, and it fixed a problem I had with the Google home page saying it couldn't find a valid source, or something like that. (I use FF.)
Good luck!
you are not the only one it pops up every time I go on to byc with my phoneThanks all for the responses. I just thought I should report it in case I wasn't the only one.![]()
I will do my best to acquire the above info. being that I am a non-teck person. Thanks for the reports!
Usually when this is a site-wide problem we get hundreds of reports, so our thought it might be isolated to specific computers or settings local to your system, ISP, etc.
With that said, we definitely take these things very seriously. That being the case, please provide as much information as possible, including:
- What page / url were you on when you had the problem
- What was the exact message you saw (screenshots work best)
- What browser and version are you on
- Any other information that might be helpful.
x2I will do my best to acquire the above info. being that I am a non-teck person.I can tell you that it occurs on my Android 4.0.4 tablet and the browser is the one that came loaded and it just is called Browser (same version as the tablet I think). Next time it happens I will make note of the page and exact message. It was something to the effect of "there is a problem with this sites security certificate" then it had three choices of what to do, continue, was one, cancel I think and I forget the third.
Not sure if I can figure out how to do a screen shot but will work on it. Thanks.
