Seeds Arrived and Time to Start Planting!

Most of our new seeds for 2021 arrived the other day! We'll probably plant the first seeds indoors in the next week or so as the snow flies outside.

Thanks to the ducks (and a little help from us), the garden beds are ready for when the snow melts!

I'm getting ready to start some too.

Alliums and celery and a few herbs start indoors at this time of year, 10-12 weeks from last average frost date.

Some of our peppers will go in the soonest. Then broccoli, cauliflower, spinach....but most will be a while still.

Whee! How exciting!

I am soooo ready for spring. I'll be starting the tenderlings (tomatoes and peppers) in the green house in about 5 weeks.

I already have some started and would be seeding outdoors as early as next week, except we have snow in the forecast. I currently have started indoors: 2 types of basil, 2 types of peppers, eggplant, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, 3 types of tomato, and Chinese chives.

your duck video is amazing. I need ducks. maybe a pond will spontaneously build itself here.

I got my seeds super early and I've been twiddling my thumbs waiting to plant them. I've got radish, carrot, arugula, spinach, cabbage and... some other brassica... and peas outside, but only the radish and arugula has sprouted. and I just started basil, sunflowers and marigolds inside.
