Hello!

Seeking advice from those experienced with peacocks—have lived among them for a long time but know nothing with regard to their care. I live in a suburban neighborhood that has a hundred-year-old community of wild peacocks that coexist rather peacefully with the neighborhood. Today discovered a peahen who has been visiting my roof frequently has laid eggs there and is sitting on them.

Unsure what to do/how to proceed. Roof is over 10 feet high and not sure how chicks will get down when they hatch. Worried about the mother being able to get food and about other birds snatching the eggs, but doesn't seem wise to move them. Does anyone have advice on the right course of action for this wild peahen and her chicks?

All insight welcome. Thank you!

It's not ideal, but peachicks are hatched with wing feathers. They could in theory fly down but it's likely they will fall off. Birds do really stupid things sometimes.

Moved the eggs ... NO!
Note the date of the start of brooding ... with the RED marker! (for no forget).
At 27 days you will see shells ...! peachicks are hatched!
With your ladder and a basket you will take the peachicks .. it is necessary to chase the mother momentarily ... place the little ones on the ground! The mother will joins them! ...
The mother leaves the 'nest' to feed ... at the same time each day and she blows the trumpet! The day she does not go to eat is that the hatching started ... lasts 2 days!
