Central Virginia
I have 3 ganders. They are generally pretty happy among their own little flock, but with breeding season right around the corner, I would like to find a few female geese to enhance their lives.

I recalled a local man joking about how he had released a couple of domestic geese at a nearby lake, and how they always saw them there, and then they just disappeared... I thought that was so sad, and it occurred to me to reach out and see if anyone nearby had a goose girl or two in need of a new home. It would have to be a large breed such as a Toulouse or Embden, because my boys are Giant Dewlap Toulouse, and they are really big.

I'm in Central Virginia, and my geese are pretty spoiled. They have a goose house to sleep in, a pen where I can contain them but usually don't, and a farm pond to swim in. If you have a lonely female goose, I might be able to help.

If you introduce just one you might start a war. That would probably keep her pretty busy with the three as well. 1 goose to 3 ganders is not a good ratio. It should be 2 geese per gander.

I don't just want one. I also don't want six! lol

I was just putting this out there in case someone had a lonely goose that needed a new flock and they didn't know what to do about it. Also, I had planned to separate any new geese I brought in. I wouldn't just throw one goose out into the pond with 3 ganders. (I do appreciate your concern, though.)

Plus, the size of my boys is a real concern. I saw some geese being sold on Craigslist and I want to go have a look at them and see how big they are. They need to be big girls, or they could be injured by my boys, in my opinion.

I understand, just sayin becareful what you bargain for with geese. Though I'm not judging your experience level. Right now I have competition for resources between 2 ganders over 3 geese. In the worst case it's a war. I manage it as best I can, and just wouldn't want that to happen for you.

I appreciate that. Maybe I should reconsider... My husband isn't the biggest fan of the geese anyway.

Back in the good old days, when I had females, they spent more time on the porch. I'm sure you can imagine what a mess that was. lol
