I am looking for help with finding the gender of my chicks, please...

Barred Rock- 8 weeks old.
I'm thinking pullet?

Blue Laced Red Wyandotte- 8 weeks
Pullet?

Delaware - 8 weeks
Pullet?

Amaerucana- 8 weeks
Pullet?

Barnvelder- 8 weeks
Cockerel?
Starting to make some crow-ish sounds- ugh!

French Black Copper Maran- 6 weeks
Please don't say cockerel...

Thanks for helping!

I figured as much about the Barnvelder. I'm sad about the BLRW. I really hoped it was a girl. Can you explain why you think it's a roo to help me learn? I had been checking the neck feathers and they are round and not very long. But it is bigger than all the rest and has thick legs. Also it is the only one who pecks when you try to hold it.

The feathering differences that develop with males aren't going to be apparent at this age, which is why you are not seeing any indication of them just yet. At 8 weeks of age, that is considerable, red, comb and wattle development. The pecking issue is not really much of an indicator, imo, but the developments thus far are.

Leaning towards cockerel, but not certain.
Delaware - 8 weeks
Pullet?

Can you post a picture of the comb? Based off its redness, I'd guess cockerel, but the bird otherwise looks pullet-y.

Sorry that took so long to get back. Busy, crazy week. They are all about 10 weeks now. The pictures were a few weeks old. The Ameraucana has no comb at all. Just the little spot that you see at the top of the beak. Nothing on the head but feathers. The BLR and the Barnevelder are crowing like crazy now. UGH! Hate that I have to re-home them. It isn't easy to find a home and I worry how they will be treated. I already re-homed a beautiful BCM but they won't take the other 2.
