Self-Blue Cochin Bantams

Is this little 3 week a lavender/ self blue? Would he be good to breed? If so what colors should he be breed to? I have several black and splash Cochin chicks are these good to breed him to?

Here is my Smokey. I think he is a self blue but not sure. His 3 week pics are a few post backs. He is now about 10 weeks old.

Yes, that is self blue or lavender. He has very nice feathery legs.

He looks so handsome! My self blue still looks gangly and awkward.

Here is Smokey at 17 weeks. I can not take any credit for strengthening the breed though. He is a hatchery chick from TSC. I do hope to breed him though.

He is such a great rooster and very bonded to my black cochin pullet.
