i know you prolly already answered this but just way to many pages if i get lav hens what color roo should i get? i already have a blue roo but i'm not sure if i can mix the 2
 
Does anyone have a pic of a porcelain silkie ? I don't think I've ever seen this color and am curious to what it looks like . Thanks Tammy .B

You do not need to mix blue with Lavender at all. It will create a mess. You need to breed the Lavender to either Lavender or Black.

If you want blue, then you need a separate pen for that color.

Black cock + blue hens and lavender hens; not mixing blue & lavender

Unless the black is split to lav, you will get blacks who are split to lav. However, you will not be able to differentiate between them and the blacks who came from blue mama's (of course there are tricks for marking who laid which egg).

If the black cock is split to lav, you will get half lavender and half black split to lav.
