I had a yellow (most likely white) chick hatch yesterday from a pure lav. roo and a black split hen. I think this hen has a partridge gene because so far she has produced 4 striped chicks (maybe silver partridge), 2 blacks, and now this white one..... all with the same lav. roo. Just wondering what the lav. experts think is going on. The original breeder of the black split hen assured me that she is from a pure lav. roo.
Lavendar breeders--Wonder if I may have your opinion on Gator. I've thought since a chick he was lav but now not so sure. Here's lots of pics of him through his one year of life most recent first:
Anyone want to help a poor silkie-addicted woman attain her fondest hope and dream???????
Does anybody have any lavender eggs to sell? I am hatching them just for my own pens (maybe will show them) and don't have room for a full out breeding program where I start with splits and work my way toward lavender. That said, I just need a few true lav x lav eggs to hatch and keep.
Also, I really am smitten with the Porcelains and Isobels. Do any of you have eggs for sale of these colors? Please contact me asap before I have an attack of Sanity.

I have eggs, but I don't know their "hatchabilty" yet. So I would really have a bad conscious selling these eggs. I just recently bought my lavs about a month ago, so I'm not a 100% on anything with them yet. Sucks you don't live closer cause I have a pretty lav rooster and an ugly (not going to lie) lav/blk split hen, I am really considering parting with. I really don't need two lav roosters for my small breeding project, LOL! Hang in there! I'm sure there will be eggs from one of us soon
