They probably are brothers!! I plan to grow out a bunch of chicks and keep the cream. I can hardly wait to see what they look like. I breeding some black/splits too. Thanks so much for the compliments!!

PeepBlessed have you had any issues hatching lavender eggs? I have read multiple times that they are hard to hatch or have a higher mortality rate. I know I didn't have a high hatch rate but thought it was from being shipped halfway across the country.

I expected to have problems but I'm not. No idea why, but of course they aren't shipped eggs. I had 100% hatch last weekend of 4 lav and 4 splits. Didn't help anyone.

Took some fresh pictures today. Here's my boy. Seems like he has been slower to fill out than the girls, but he is quite a bit larger than they are. He's getting a really nice beard. His crest and cushion are finally starting to fill in. I'm very pleased with his chest and his leg and foot feathering. I'm hoping that comb won't be too red. That close up of his face was taken with the flash and that always seems to make it look too light to me.

He is looking really good!! I hope my guy fills out more. He just seems a bit scrawny. Thanks for keeping the thread alive. The oldest of my babies is 4 wks. now. I'm getting quite a collection. Hatched out two more today. :D

Post pictures of all of them PeepBlessed!!! You know I love drooling over your beauties!!!!

I'm sure others will post pictures every now and then.

I just think the boys are a lot slower than the girls. I have known he was a boy from the moment he hatched. And the girls, also.

Now with my little ugly duckling...that's another story. I am hoping she is a girl, but I don't know.
