Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

hey what color would you call this baby, i mean he is blue, but the mother is a lavender split. would this one carry the lavender geene? what do you guys think?

I'd call him blue. He may or may not carry the lavender gene, and there's no way you can tell for sure unless you breed him back to a lavender. Bred to another split could possibly produce a lavender.

I know Shay, and this chick was from a blue showgirl roo over a lavender splash hen (not a split lav). So he is a lav split (he carries one copy of lavender).

i am hopeing this one is a girl, i have another lavender split roo, so if this one is a girl should i breed her to him?
