That's what I was thinking and hoping, but I got myself confused.

Bacres if you contact some breeders directly they may sell you some chicks. That is what I did. They had an auction up I just e mailed them and they had extras. I will say they are not cheap but not too much more that what you would pay for any other color from good breeders. I just hate when you contact someone and they never get back to you!!!!!!! I have had that happen many times. Any way even if you get some Lav w/ not prefect color or not so great toe splits at least you have them for your "project".

Okay...so by breeding him to blue, black, and splash hens...I should get blue and black chicks? And genetically speaking, will those chicks be considered split lav?

And I won't know that til I breed the females back to dad. I C . So the chicks will be considered POSSIBLE split lavs.
