. I also am gonna look for a lavendar bantam cochin hen, as they are very pretty and dang good egg layers. I ahve one bantam cochin hen and she gives me an egg everyday without fail.

I wish my White Silkie would do that.

Help...
My silkie is broody on NOTHING! She sits there on no eggs and she is extremly dutiful. I don't know what to do.

Got my first Lav silkie egg from one of my Lav hens a few days ago ,boy is it tiny!

Well today i now have 4 eggs from her .With the egg being so small and their first 4 eggs should i incubate them ? or should i wait til they been laying a lil longer before incubating their eggs ? Just wondering if the chances are good with hatching because the eggs are so small right now.I know the Lav Roo is doing his job very often so they should be fertile.

If anybody has had experience with this I would love to have your oppinion on this matter.

Thanks,
Fay

i dont hatch out the first 2 weeks worth of eggs especially silkies as often they will be to weak or the egg is just to small for good development.
