Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

It almost looks lavender. I've been trying to find a way to identify the color but its hard to do. Maybe pluck a feather from one of my lavs and lay it on his to see if there is a difference.

That is great to know that they hatched out of those tiny eggs healthy and same size as the larger eggs , thats what i needed to hear !

I posted some pics of them to see if anyone could tell me the color. They are doing great! Normal size too.

if he is nice type I would not get rid of him until you determine whether or not he carries the lav gene. Who cares if he has leakage if he passes on the lav gene and that is what you are working towds. Now if you are working on black that would be different.

Exactly my thinking, if two copies of lavender are there then the offspring will be lavender. What makes me more comfortable about this boy is that it is not gold so I won't be introducing red in to my lavs by using him. That's if I'm translating gold vs silver correctly.
