Yeah Red/Buff would most likley hurt the coloration while Siliver would be fine.

If you have leakage on a black split to lav, the leakage as well as lav can be passed to the offspring. If the bird carries gold, the lav would end up with isabel leakage; if silver, I suspect that the leakage would tend to be silvery white, giving the bird lighter hackles. If the leakage is autosomal red, then it will show uo in other locations as wellm depending on gender. Henk or Blackdotte need to step in here and verify this.
