His wing tips look kind of dark (maybe a little orangish?) like he may have some other colors in there. I agree that his comb looks a little red. Some of my lavs have more red in the comb than they should too. They are still a work in progress for most people.

He's definitely a beautiful guy. As was mentioned he looks like he has some orange in his wing (I'm pretty sure that would be a DQ). I'm wondering if he came from a "porcelain" project. He has a nice tail and crest and pretty good wing carriage for a boy. Nice foot feathering, and yes, his comb is too light.

Here's an updated photo of my male Lavender roo. Looks like he's got orange on his wings, but it's the way the picture came out and plus he's near the orange snow fence. Honestly, when you see him in person, there is no orange on him.
He didn't know what to do in this picture. It's the first time he's been in this new pen we just finished making for my Lavender project. Soon my Lavender showgirls will join him once the snow clears up and we have the bird netting placed up to make sure hawks don't get to them.
Can you see the conserned look in his posture?

Haha! What a difference! So glad he doesn't have that orange. :D
