If I bred my white silkies to a self blue Old English game would I get self blue silkie crosses?

The chicks would probably be black color. The lavender doesn't show up until crossing them back to the self blue again or to each other, since the lavender is hidden (recessive) unless the bird has 2 copies of the gene.

It is also hard to tell what color genes that the white in your white silkies is hiding. That might come out as well....you could get anything!

Im trying to figure out if one may be possibly lavendar. I got some hatching eggs that just said nice colored silkies and they are but I have no clue what color? they are 4 weeks.

This is a light blue color. This is the one that I think is the closest i have seen in my flock.

This one is very light too but with a cream head

another shot of 2

The rest came out either light buff or buff-blue

Gosh those are cute! sorry i just recall why i love those fluffy things..

Possibly? i am trying to recall what ours looked like we own 3 self blues all roos though.. i find silkies really deceptive sometimes.. we had an oops hatch late fall and one baby was cream, she's now a white lol yet we've had white chicks? that were white...
