No a chick born in March... So I don't know...

Ok, someone explain the genetics to me... I am going to get some black silkies and I may have (if the hatch goes well) a red. I am confused as to what mixes and makes what as the chicken color calculator does not seem to apply to silkies?

I'm not very sure. We should wait until Sonoran Silkies gets here.

Ok if a Silkie looks Dark Blue/Black but more Blue and it is getting a Green sheen to its new tail feathers coming in. Does that mean it is a Black????

If this is the other black from the march hatch, then yes, she's just starting to get her big girl feathers. My black splits are about 4 weeks older and they are just getting very black but I still don't see the sheen.
