Hahaha! So a tad off topic but it still has to do with silkies and chickens. Do they breed over the winter? like I have 2 houses for winter and 3 in the summer. If I keep Silkies seperte buy color in the summer when breeding then put all of them in one cage over winter they won't breed will they. Then in the second house could I put Cochins and anyother breed adn would they breed?

Summer
Cage 1: Silkies, Black and Lavender
Cage 2: Silkies, White
Cage 3: LF Cochins and another breed.

Winter
Cage 1: All Silkies
Cage 2: LFCochins and another breed.

Would this work?

Cage 3 is like a Night cage where my cochins would live for the night then be free range durning the day.

Well I convinced my parents to let me build my 3rd pen! Wooohooo no mixing colors! A pen of bbs Cochins a pen or black and lavender silkies and a pen of white silkies!
