Happy Friday!
We had a good hatch this week... 11 little lavender babies.
Thought I'd share some pictures...
Also, we have had some issues this season when crossing back to blacks to improve our line.
Our blacks breed perfectly to each other and produce fabulous PERFECT birds.
Our lavenders do the same... however, when crossed to each other we are not getting such perfect results.
We are having toe issues and some beak imperfections.
So, we have decided not to continue breeding the blacks we have currently with our lavenders.
We have a closed flock and may consider opening it for just the right black hen to work with.
All of that being said... we are having our first annual 'seconds' sale!
If anyone is interested in some black split lavenders that are not perfect please let me know... they will be priced accordingly.
These are juviniles that are about six - eight weeks old. We also have few whites and a grey (this one is beautiful!) and a blue for sale that are between four - eight weeks old.
Please email me if you are interested in any more information.
Here are some pictures of the parents...
Lavender Father...
Black Hens (in with the picture is a black rooster that is not used in out breeding program)...
Here is one of the babies... they all look almost exactly alike!
