The eggs are definitely dead. They go from a
full look as the embryo fills the egg to what appears to be decomposition inside the shell. The first one I left in 2 days after the scheduled hatch and yep, nothing.
What should the humidity level be? This is what the hovabator 1588 is set for during the incubation phase and then you bump it up (fill the other tray) to 70% during lockdown. Never a problem with that in the past with any other egg. Have ameraucanas hatching today.
Periodic checks= when I have to fill the water tray I'll shine a flashlight down from the top of the egg while it's sitting in the turner. If it looks full it's ok, but what happens is the dead ones sort of blob up so there's a lot of clear white space w/floating stuff around the blob. It went from looking like a healthy egg to lots if floating gunk inside and no more bloodvessels anywhere.
