I need advice. I got my first lavs in Jan., started getting fertile eggs about 11/2 months ago and every single egg dies 2 weeks after the start of incubation. We're talking 15+ eggs at least. My ameraucanas and sppr's are hatching without incident.

birds get 20% protein crumble same as the ameraucanas and sppr's.

candeling about 10 days and all looks well
and then periodic checks after that. At some point between 10 days and lockdown embryo dies. Can see through part of the egg, embryo dead.

First state person (can't remember his name) suggested vita pro vitins so that has been started. So I'll try that.

Has anyone ever had a problem like this befor?

I've had a hard time finding breeding age quality blacks.

Then try adding something like Avia Charge 2000 to the breeding birds' water. Or Manna Pro bird conditioner. See if doing that helps.

I've spent over $100 on Lavender eggs and got a one to hatch. Some were fertile but ended up dying as well.... I'll never buy lavender eggs again only lavender splits.
