haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! you're gonna love 'em! baked two loaves this a.m.; DH & DD have wolfed down half a loaf already. can't wait to hear how yours turn out!
here is something cheap and tasty to go with that delicious bread...for those of you who planted cabbages this year....
Cabbage Roll Casserole
1 med. head green cabbage, chopped
1 lb ground beef or we use ground bison meat...very low fat high iron
1 med. onion chopped
1 lg can tomato soup
1 lg can beef broth
1 cup uncooked rice (not minute rice)
brown meat and onions till meat is no longer pink. meanwhile, layer half the cabbage in a 9x13 casserole dish. drain meat/onions or if using Bison, don't need to. layer on top of cabbage. top with rice.
put rest of cabbage on top of rice. pour soup and beef broth over all.
cover with foil or glass top.
bake at 350F for 1 1/2 hrs. stir mixture after one hour.
this is super cheap and makes a huge pan. awesome w/the bread.
