selling chickens and when to do it?

I wanted to sell chickens for a little side money to pay for my chicken food. what kind of breeds do people like? what is the best time to sell them? would people buy breeds like silkie polish top hat mix? what age of the chicken is good?

Most people around me want a hen that will be a productive laying hen. Right around POL is the best time to sell them. LF breeds sell easier as they are more productive.

Check your state thread and see if you can find anyone in your area, maybe even visit swap meets and auctions if there are any close to you to gauge what breeds are in demand in your area.
