Selling eggs question

so if i just sell to friends and co-workers i shouldnt worry about the legalities? but if i sell like to a store and farmers markets i should?

We sell enough to cover the bag of feed and then eat the rest. But the 50lb. bag of feed last just under 2 months. So that is not alot to sell to cover the $9 bag of feed every 2 months.
