Selling eggs

Someone mentioned selling quail eggs to local restaurants, I have a few fancier restaurants near me that pride themselves in locally sourced farm to table meals. I was considering seeing if they would be interested in buying eggs from me. Does anyone know if I would need any special permit, license or anything to sell to a restaurant?

O and I should probably mention that I'm in New York, not the city.

You probably want to check with your state's department of agriculture. I'm in California, and I have an egg handler's permit. That is required in CA for selling, trading, or otherwise offering eggs for anything other than personal use.
