Edited 8/6: Lenny is sold--Thanks Double Happiness! Cas is still available
I have 2 11 month old (hatched Sept 19 2013) roosters for sale. I am willing to drive to the Denver area or points East to meet. Both these roosters have had a rooster quieting surgery in April of 2014 with variable results. Both are Faverolles/Brahma x Welsummer crosses out of a project I had going to see if could get a large dual purpose darker brown egg layer. I have decided to abandon the project and work on a purebred since I have limited space.
Sold: Lenny is about half (or a little less) as loud as he was pre-surgery -- while in bed I was listening to him crow early this morning and he was not as loud as the road traffic and quite a lot quieter than the non-quieted roosters.
Lenny is in his own run adjacent to two other roosters and does not fight with them through the fence. He has been very well behaved with me coming into his pen to feed (stays a respectful distance, no foot-stamping or shoulder-dropping etc).
Available: Cas is his hatch-mate but his type is more of the Faverolles/Brahma and though he is quieter than he was, he has a slight whistle to his crow. He on occasion has dropped a shoulder when I walk into his pen (never been aggressive per se, but the dropped shoulder is a concern), so I would recommend he be used in a flock-protection/free range situation or be bought by someone experienced at handling roosters only.
I am looking to place them in homes and are priced at $25 Lenny and for $15 for Cas.
Video of the two crowing can be seen on Youtube:

They have been tested for AI and Pullorum prior to travel and the tests were negative. NPIP.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need more information.
