I split my male and female Coturnix today. I ended up with 8 girls and 5 for sure boys (I think
) and one maybe. The "maybe" has a red chest but also spots so I am thinking male. Regardless I will only be keeping two/three males so that one is out in my book. They are 4.5 weeks old so I still have a few weeks to fix any of my mistakes in sexing before I butcher the extras.
Once I get back from vacation I think I will order some more eggs to hatch out. I want to be able to smoke some this year.
