Ya thats what you bought, lol Self Blue is also called Lavender , Blue is much much darker, look on idealpoultry.com you can see the difference. And Blue Cochins alot of people have, Lavender or Self Blue is a new color in cochins and not many people have them..
 
This sounds like so much fun. I hope we will be able to make it. We will probably just be there to meet people, we won't have anything to sell and probably shouldn't buy anything either (we are outlaws with 5 hens). Is it ok for lookers to come out?

i just got into chicken raising (have one buff, one RIR, and one EE that are 11 days old) so i have nothing to swap but I will be bringing empty cages and cash!
 
yes, all are welcome to come out and meet other BYC & local chicken peeps. Should be totally fun and i am excited about it! You don't have to buy or sell anything................But Aledia's aka cmoms cages are hard to pass up! CALLS DIBBS ON 3 COMPARTMENT CAGE

I also grabbed a white from her. I think i will focus on them and maybe have a pair of barreds & buffs if deb passes on them. Now i am EGGCITED i have lavender

would anyone want to do a demo on doing meat chickens or some roo's? last one i went to went kinda bad for me

I see some newbie's who have some extra roo's and are needing some help dressing them( and i aint talking about slacks and a shirts peeps..lol) Figured if maybe someone could demo and do them...............well SCORE!!!!!!!! we could learn and they could get rid of some roo's and eat them

I can show how i some one brings chickens I have none hold enough. I have to make sure I can come too...I have surgery schedule for the 24th of August so have to see how recovery is.
 
i have several people contact me in regards to chicks & i told them as well about it! Seems like some newbies will be coming out! one kid has dominques................
 
Is there a flier for the swap? I wanted to find out what time it starts, how long it will go for, if there are any demos when will they be...that sort of thing.

I am hoping we will be able to make it.
