Checked on the broody one in a pen by herself. Even with a leg that was snapped in half and still healing, has managed to get 6 eggs to develop. I’d say maybe a week left? Unfortunately didn’t write down the day I put them in there and don’t remember.

Broody Bella is living up to her name yet again so I will be giving her some eggs this week, I'm wanting more bantam breeds so I'll have to purchase them for her. That may be it for this month as I separated my roosters from the hens to rearrange them and give time to clear out the previous roosters sperm, they go back in with the ladies tomorrow but I doubt I will get many fertilized eggs in time for this months hatch-a-long.

Honestly I have no idea. I got a few mixed breed chicks off a lady and she was one of two bantams in the lot, the other was a crested feather legged frizzle and then this girl. Shes always laying half a dozen to a dozen eggs then goes broody.

day 10 candled. I had 7 clears and 3 blood rings out of 22

I guess today is hatch day. Checked on mom in the run and heard some tiny peeps. Couldn’t find the chick and didn’t want to disturb the other eggs and mom. I’ll grab some photos in a day or so

Apparently I put 6 eggs under her about 21 days ago Moved them into a 3’x 6’ duck house/brooder house.

The hen in the back was attacked by a hawk, soon after had her comb and skin was torn off by an emu and turkey. She wasn’t too thrilled about the youngins moving in, so she’s in a separate coop and run still recovering.

Im thinking the blue one will be barred?
