My blocks are in the envelopes ready to hit the mail one day next week will let ya all know when I get into town and get them out.

Now off to do my Christmas wall hanging blocks, Welman is cracking that whip pretty hard and I still have some sewing to do. They are due Oct 1st but at least all my other blocks for this month are done.

And I am ahead on my Christmas blocks for next month.

Meeting Scrambled & her hubby was wonderful! There was not enough time though, as usual.

I will definitley want to meet up again!! We'll make plans.............

Anyone that gets an opportunity to meet a fellow member, DO IT !!! Thanks SE for helping to make that happen!

I got a great block from her for the regular sept swap, I'm too lazy to put that into the right swap.....hey, I'm on vacation !! I'm allowed to be lazy!! I've got my machine set up, just have to go to the little store down the street to get an extension cord and I'll be sewing here instead of home.....

Yes, Luna, Gainesville is just about in the middle of the state, right on I-75. It is where the University of Florida is. We live about 30 miles west of that but go to Gainesville regularly 'cause it is the closest "big" town near us. Would love to meet you.

Those fires were a couple counties away from us but it was so smokey we had to stay inside for about a week. Couldn't breathe when we went outside. We would hurry out to change the water and add feed for the chickens and then go back inside.

It really was fun and the nicest part is that Luna was no different thatn how I "knew" her from the internet! I think that speaks well for how much of ourselves we project into these posts and how well we really "know" each other after all this time! Pretty cool actually because it would be easy to appear to be something you really aren't at all on the internet but the lot of us that communicate the most with each other seem to really be who we present ourselves to be! Anyway, it was fun and I hope we can make it a regular thing to meet Luna and DH when they vacation down this way and other folks can meet up and make real life friends too!
