cool I got some mixed eggs for someone on BYC for a trade really hope I get some lavender but look me up when yours start laying I am working on having many different breed in the spring like split/black lavender orpington, SLW, BLRW, frizzle standard cochins, Frizzle EE, standard blue cochins, mix color standard cochins b/b/s ameraucanas, b/b/s silkies and b/b/s marans

My 'breeds' for next spring (I hope) are d'uccles in mille fleur, porcelain, and black and blue mottled; OEGB in bbs, white, and red quill; Dutch in blue; japanese BTW; silkies in white and buff; mottled bantam cochins; and golden lakenvelder LF. I think that's it, unless I can find some blue-breasted red phoenix hens to go with my roo

Oh!! Eggs in the bator! I forgot about those! I have welsummers and BC Marans from bargain, so hopefully I'll have those too! But there are only 3 BCMs, so I won't have much of that. But I'm wanting to have olive eggers anyway, so maybe I'll hatch 3 girls??

You know, the funny thing about them is that I was on bargain's list for this past spring. No one knew who she was, and then I really couldn't justify spending $60+ on 12 eggs, so I backed out. Let me tell you, these eggs are GORGEOUS!! I've had BCMs once before and they were not this dark! Absolutely beautiful! If these hatch well I might get some more from her, next spring of course

I really, really want to stop hatching for a while. I have about 50 chicks in the bedroom, another 20 or so on the porch, and a bator completely full of eggs, with more on the way. I need a break!

ETA again: Millies are so cute, aren't they? And they have the personalities to match. They are just the sweetest little birds! We have one we call 'girlfriend'. My little roo would 'fight' my 4-year-old sometimes because the hen would follow my son around the yard while he was uncovering bugs and worms for her. I guess the roo thought he had some competition!

Nah, never enough. My breeds for next spring (hopefully, lol): houdan, buff laced Polish, welsummer, bantam EE, Standard EE, serama, BTW Japanese, Mille Fleur D'Uccle, Blue Polish, Splash Polish, Silver Laced Polish, mottled bantam cochin, BBS bantam cochin, OEG assortment(not sure where that will lead), Crested mixed ducks, Magpie ducks, corturnix quail in several different colors.

In the bators are the mille fleur d'uccle, OEG, Crested Pekin ducks, more Polish of course, more of my blue/splash Polish, more of my millie x Jap eggs (WHY?), the pyncheon eggs I just bought will be coming too

Anyway, I am almost sure there are more but can't think of them right now, lol.

Oh yeah, that's right more mottled cochin eggs coming too,

Okay, if you guys have that much going on going into Winter, I clearly am in good company in my madness.

I can't begin to name all the stuff working right now chick-wise, and I've Araucana, Ameraucana, Silkie, Sebright, d'Uccle (diff. types), EE, Buttercup/EE, Houdan, Buff Polish, Pekin, etc. in the incubators...

*sigh*!
