***SEPTEMBER HATCH-A-LONG come join in***

we have 4 chicks hatched out waiting on 15 more they went on long down yesterday. We was having trouble with the temp dropping and rising between 97 - 100.5 but humidity stayed the same. Its raining here so humidity has been high here. But we got a cold front and it dropped the temp in the house so we had to keep watching it. We have it steady at 100.0 now.

Wish me luck, I have had bad hatch rates during the summer using 2 hens 6 chicks out of 28 eggs. I am hoping using a incubator will give me a better chance this time. The chicks do seem to be having a easier time getting through their shells on their own.

Wish me luck!!!

Here are the Ameraucana chicks. Looks like one is Black and one is Blue.

Hoping that at least one is a girl.

Still waiting on the 2 FBCM. They are alive and pipped but resting. Hope they hatch soon.

I had about 12 eggs. One was rotten for sure. The other eggs are still in the bator. I'm leaving them for awhile longer just to see if we get any more. This is the 17th day, so more could hatch.

Don't worry, I have had 2 - 3 hatches all on day 17. I've only had 1 hatch on day 16!!!
Keep them in there at least until day 21

We have another button! They're really quick. They don't pip and rest like chickens. They just pip and zip.

Those Ameraucanas are really cute!

Thanks! Had to come up with something cause the cat knows there's nuggets in the basement and she is super fast and stealthy when I open the door to go down there. And good luck and great hatching vibes in October!!

Those are great pictures. I have to get me a camera. All I have to use is the camera on my phone.

That's all I ever use is my phone camera for these pics... I take the picture, e-mail it to Photobucket and then copy and paste to the post.

The two FBCM chicks hatched. They are dry but sure are lacking in the full and fuzzy department. One has feathers on its legs and feet as the French line is supposed to and one has clean legs and feet.

Hope they will fluff up and I will share a picture of them as well. I did order another 6 eggs a few weeks ago thinking these would not hatch. lol. Guess I will be in the October hatch along as well.

Popcorn!!! I decided to try and hatch some courtnix quail. I bought 32+ on ebay for $1 and they shipped me 40. First one pipped and hatched this morning and it looks like 10-15 in there now. And it looks like im gonna have 48 chicken eggs make it in the September hatch along too!
