***SEPTEMBER HATCH-A-LONG come join in***

Taking all the water and rags out of the bator got rid of the excess humidity. Tonight before candling eggs I noticed that the humidity was down to 45%. I went ahead and added some water and two rags back in. The eggs I candled all had great movement. If all 37 hatch I am going to have a cow. I am going to be getting most, I didn't need any more keets but I can sell them. I am thinking the eggs are closer to 3 weeks than the two I have had them in the bator. I will keep candling them and look for internal pips. I would hate to turn off the egg turner too soon. Maybe they should be hand turned? I don't know. For now I am happy with what I see!

Recandled my serama eggs. We go into lockdown on Sunday. Down two more earlyish quitters, so were now at 13 moving chicks/21 shipped eggs. Still not so bad

Yes! I'm a little cautious about optimism right now because there were an awful lot that were kind of...questionable looking? but I'm still hoping the hatch will turn out all right.

So glad to hear your Ameraucanas are still doing well--you're going to have a fun group of peepers when those guys hatch!

Also, I need to PM you back when I get a chance, maybe a bit later tonight. No reply on the polish so far, unfortunately.

well I candled my 16 duck eggs today, they were on day 4, I had 5 that were no good, 1 was a day old quitter (just a tiny blood ring) the others were clear and looked gruesome inside, so they were all removed, the rest look great one is so fantastic I could even see a heart beat! I am having trouble keeping the humidity up, my sponge is drying out supa fast lol. I will be adding some more moisture in there now. I spray them several times a day as well.

My incubator dropped to 95 last night!!! I don't know how long it was there, could they survive?

Sure they could! I had one 'bator that had swings from 104 down to 78 last winter [LG]. Even so, a few of the eggs hatched!
