So I just walked away and went to bed last night. The one that was peeping hatched and was fine at 430 this morning. The last egg was open and the chick was dead. I cleaned that up and went to work. Hopefully the one lone chick will make the day! If so I’ll let her be the best mother she can be! If not I’ll do what I can to brake the broody and go from there.

My first pip !! Just happened ! but it's not anywhere near the air cell !! I've been trying to listen for peeps all night but can't hear anything... humidity is 65%, temp is 99F..... freaking out!! Lol...

Well it looks like my hatching with a broody is done unless she goes broody again last night something dug a hole in my coop and ate all the eggs from under my broody

So Moma seems to of done a good job today. Wondering how long I should leave her and lockdown with the one check? Can I let her out into the main flock and cut a small access hole just for the little one? Not sure how the other 24 size chickens will do.

Thank you, she seems to love to go broody so hopefully once the pest is taken care of she goes broody again
