The beautiful silver color of the Breda when she first hatched, she dried in my hand on my chest.

Here she is all dry - guessing a 2nd splash color :)

Both bredas and the orp. They didn't care for the slippery floor.

What humidity levels are you all hatching at- successfully? My last hatch was not good at all and I've ordered more mailed eggs I'll be receiving tomorrow. Originally I hatched 4/10 with: 60-65% 1-18 days, then 70-72% for the remainder. My last incubation I could not stabilize the bator and non made it although 3 went into lockdown. One breeder told me she does 40-42%, then after day 18, 65 %, then once they pip 70%. What do you guys do?

on this hatch I used anywhere from 35-43% day 1-18( judging by egg weight alterations) at lockdown I'm at 62% started 48, 9 clear 3 blood rings and 1 quitter. lockdown 35 just removed a quitter after pip but am working on 15 hatched and another 8 pips. on day 21 now till 10PM

Too Cute! Congrats!

So little Pip seems to be having some issues. First he wasn't drying out because of the high humidity in the bator, so I have him in a nice warm dry place, because I can't stick him in the brooder with my other chicks, because he isn't standing yet. That's my other problem, he can't stand up. It's been over 12 hours and he flops around on his side like a fish. He had a lot of yellow on him, which I'm assuming is yolk. So maybe something happened and it didn't get absorbed all the way and he is just really weak. I have made a vitamin and Karo water mix and give him a tiny drop here and there, but he isn't ready to swallow anything so I can't do more then that. Any suggestions? He is my only chick out of 26 eggs and my first ever hatched chick so I don't want to lose him :(

Okay guys. Need some advice. Going into lockdown tonight. Humidity ran at 40 to 45% the first nine dies but has been averaging 35 to 37% since then what should I try to run it at for lockdown?

My dry hatches where I added no water till lockdown did not go well. I am having better luck now keeping it at @45% 1 - 18 and @65% in lockdown. MUCH less malpositions!!
